Hi, my name is Guy…

Born in Preston Lancashire, I now have almost 30 years of experience working as a Goldsmith, although I’m not sure I’m old enough yet to be making statements like that ! I started my trade as an apprentice with my father, who was a jeweller for over 50 years and served his apprenticeship in Bond Street, London. I’ve also managed to acquire a few skills from my big bro, who also happens to be a highly skilled Goldsmith, but fortunately works in the South West of England, so isn’t in direct competition to me.

That’s why making flawless bespoke jewellery, really is in my blood. Thanks to this combined knowledge from my dad and brother I believe I have become the high-quality Goldsmith that I am today.

I have a large and established private client base and love working with clients and potential clients on a one-to-one basis. I know that it’s this level of customer service that makes me different from other jewellers. I work so closely with my clients that I’m able to give them exactly what they want out of a piece of jewellery – not exactly what I want !

Every single item of jewellery I make is 100% unique and is created with care and attention to detail from start to finish. At Guy Wakeling Jewellery, our metals, diamonds and other precious stones are sourced ethically, from all over the world, via our Hatton Garden suppliers. This means that I pick the perfect elements to suite every client’s individual needs, at greatly discounted prices.

What’s more, all of my pieces carry my own unique maker’s mark. This is stamped into every piece of bespoke Guy Wakeling jewellery before being tested for purity, as well as being hallmarked by the Assay office. You can be asssured you’re getting a genuine item that in time, can become a family heirloom.

Although most of our jewellery is commissioned and handmade to the customer’s own specific designs, I do occasionally get the chance to make a few rare items to sell in my Signature Collection.
